My journey in simple living began in the Summer of 2011. That was the Summer I walked into my local book store and picked up a copy of Simplicity Parenting by Kim John Payne.
A couple of chapters into the book I experienced what I refer to as my personal “ah-ha! moment.”
Books often motivate me to change. They make me feel like I want to do things different. Unfortunately, these feelings usually pass before I have time to act on them!
Simplicity Parenting was different. It kicked my butt into motion!
There’s a chapter in the book that discusses the importance of why and how to simplify toys. This was one of the first things I changed in our lives and you can read about how purging our toy collection changed how my kids play here.
After witnessing the incredible results, I couldn’t wait to implement changes to “live more with less” in other areas of our lives.
I started this blog because I thought sharing my experience might help someone else to slow down and smell the roses.
Would you like to join me in my journey?
